PITTSFIELD & EDDINGTON - Joyce Stewart, 92, went home to be with the Lord September 27, 2022 at a Bangor health care facility. She was born October 20, 1929 in Pittsfield, a daughter of Charles and Evelyn (Wing) Swift. She attended Pittsfield schools and MCI. She married Frederick A. Stewart on June 14, 1952. She worked as the housekeeping supervisor at Eastern Maine Medical Center for many years and attended the North Brewer/Eddington United Methodist Church. She is survived by her children, Roger Windsor and Laurene of Lincoln, Rachel Brannan and Donald of Holden, Frederick Stewart, Jr. and Kathleen of Brewer, Crystal Rockwell-Hutchins and Michael of Eddington, Charles Stewart and Lea Rae of Oakland, Daniel Stewart and Tammy of Cameron, NC, Andrea Spaulding and Kenneth of Dixmont; 18 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her brother Charles Swift, her sister Doris Bubar, nephew Edward Bubar and great grandson Ryan Burgess Goodness. Friends may call from 5 to 7 P.M. Friday at Crosby & Neal, 117 Main Street, Newport. A graveside funeral service will be held at 2 P.M. Saturday, October 1st, at the Pittsfield Village Cemetery with Pastor Gretchen Casey officiating.
