Judith Ann Mountain, 90, of Dexter, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2025, in Dexter, Maine.
Judith was born on June 27, 1935, a daughter of Theodora (Dyer) and Joseph Mountain Jr. She was a lifelong communicant of St. Anne's Catholic Church in Dexter, where her faith remained a guiding force throughout her life.
Judith was known for her exceptional work ethic and attention to detail. She enjoyed a long and dedicated career as an automotive bookkeeper, working for 29 years at Labun Chevrolet, followed by 10 years at Hartly's and 3 years at Dexter Motor Sales, before retiring in 1996.
Everyone who knew Judith knew that family and faith came first. True to her nature, Judith's favorite "hobby" was cleaning a reflection of her pride, discipline, and care for her home and those around her.
She is survived by Her brother, Lane Mountain of Dexter; nephews Joseph Mountain and wife, Geoffrey, of Dexter, Jeffrey Mountain of Dexter, Jay Mountain of Yarmouth; great-niece Maria Mountain of Tennessee; great-niece Jana Mountain of Dexter; special great-grand-nephew Jameson Atwood of Dexter; great-niece Tracy Martin and family of Ripley; great-nephew Ryan Mountain and family; special cousins Alan Rabideau and wife Diane, Jane Meade, and Lisa Parker and husband Keith.
She was predeceased by her parents.
The family extends a special thank you to Gentiva Hospice and their amazing caretakers, the Mayo EMTs, and the Dexter Fire Department for their compassionate care and support.
A funeral service will be held in the spring at St. Anne's Catholic Church, 64 Free Street, Dexter, Maine. Burial will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Dexter, with a date and time to be announced.
