Kathy J. Jackson, 60, of Garland, Maine entered into the arms of Jesus early Tuesday morning, March 18, 2025, after a short bout with cancer. Kathy was a world traveler almost from the very beginning of her life. Originally from Poland, Kathy was brought to the U.S.A by her adoptive parents Robert & Janine (Rozanski) Jackson who predeceased her. Kathy grew up in New Jersey, attended University and earned both her bachelor's and master's degrees, enabling her to have multiple teaching opportunities throughout her life. As a young adult, Kathy traveled Europe with her good friend, Melissa, staying in hostels, visiting museums and exploring the beautiful countryside. Kathy loved traveling, the outdoors, animals and especially her cats, Beanie, Allagash, Baxter, Boomer & Schoodee. Kathy moved to Maine where she gained many close friends, her dream home, and her favorite career. Kathy loved teaching at Mountain View Correctional Facility where she flourished, being loved by her students and valued by her Colleagues. Kathy is survived by two brothers of her adoptive family, cousins and close friends. A memorial service will be held on April 12, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Garland Town Hall, where memories will be shared and reception to follow.
