SAINT ALBANS - Kimberly Martin, 55, passed away January 14th, 2022 after a brief and courageous battle with cancer. She was born June 24, 1966 in Stafford, CT, a daughter of Lola and the late Anthony Synol, Jr.
Kim grew up in Tolland, moved to Maine in 1988 with the love of her life and high school sweetheart Jeffrey Martin where she quickly fell in love with farm life, even planting corn on their honeymoon. She spent her life as a devoted farmer's wife and mother of four. She dedicated over 20 years enriching a magnitude of student lives in the MSAD48/RSU19 school district as an educational technician. She also was a daycare provider, bartender, and loved working at the Darling's Waterfront and Cross Insurance Center.
Kim enjoyed spending days under the sun haying in the fields and never missed an opportunity to chase the farm animals around. The most important part of Kim's life was always her family. She loved spending time with them, especially going to Pemaquid Point as often as possible with her never ending search for sea glass. She enjoyed baking for the family. Her apple pie simply can't be beat.
Kim is survived by her husband of nearly 34 years, Jeff and their beautiful children; her daughter Lindsey MacVicar, son-in-law Kevin and grandson Carson, her daughter Whitney, her daughter Erin and boyfriend DJ Corson, son Wyatt and girlfriend Lexi Gradie. Kim also leaves behind her mother Lola Synol of Tolland, CT, brother Mark Synol and wife Wendy, nephews Ben and Zach, in-laws Tyrone and Mary Martin of Saint Albans, as well as sisters in law Gretchen and Valerie Martin. Kim has many extended family members.
Kim will always be remembered for her bright smile, her ability to light up any room that she walked into, her luck of always being able to find a four-leaf clover and the kindness she shared with every person she met.
A celebration of life will be held at 2 P.M. Saturday, January 22nd, at the Saint Albans Community Center (the former Saint Albans Consolidated School. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Newport.
