Obituary

Newport – It is with profound sadness and heartbreak that we announce the unexpected passing of Korgan R. Clark, 18, on May 20, 2026. Born on March 19, 2008, Korgan lived a life filled with creativity, laughter, adventure, and music. Though his time here was far too short, the impact he made on those who knew and loved him will never be forgotten. Music was the heartbeat of Korgan's life. He poured himself into writing songs, producing music, and playing whenever he could. To him, music was more than a hobby, it was who he was. He dreamed big, lived freely, and wanted to experience life on his own terms. Korgan often said he never wanted to become a "boring adult," and those who knew him understood exactly what he meant. He approached life with curiosity, humor, and a spirit that refused to be confined. Korgan loved the outdoors and found peace in the beauty of Maine. Whether camping, exploring, or simply being outside, he was happiest surrounded by nature. He had a gift for turning ordinary moments into adventures, especially through his beloved "Hunting of the Fiddleheads" videos, created in his own energetic, Steve Irwin-style fashion. His documentaries blended information, comedy, and creativity in a way that made people both laugh and learn. Korgan earned a certificate in multimedia studies and truly enjoyed filmmaking, storytelling, and creating content that reflected his unique personality and outlook on life. Korgan also had a love for his friends, spending as much time as he could with them. They shared a bond unlike any other. He also had a deep love for animals and cherished the companionship of his furry best friends, Dexter the dog and Mr. Stripes the cat. Korgan is survived by his mother, Tabitha; his stepfather, Zachary; his father, Joshua, and Joshua's partner, Kristi; his brother, Zakaree; his paternal grandparents, James Clark and his wife Katharine, and Mary Cronin; his maternal grandmother, Mary Anne Gott; his uncle, Greg Clark and his wife Renee; his aunt, Shelley Stoots and her husband Richard; as well as many cousins, extended family members, and friends who loved him dearly. He was predeceased by his aunt, Christyna Cookson, and his uncle Justin Clark. Korgan will be remembered for his creativity, humor, free spirit, and the way he made life feel exciting and genuine. His music, his films, his laughter, and his adventurous soul will continue to live on in the memories of everyone fortunate enough to know him. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Humane Society of the Waterville Area in Korgan's name to keep his legacy of loving animals of all kinds. Donations can be made through their website: https://www.hswa.org/donate A Memorial Service celebrating Korgan's life will be held on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Fogg Brook Resort - Campground 147 Lang Hill Rd, Palmyra, ME 04965.
