EXETER - Laurice Everett Weeks, 92, died September 5, 2020 at a Bangor hospital. He was born September 19, 1927 in Carmel, a son of Ervin and Marion (Collins) Weeks. Laurice had been out on his own from a young age joining the Merchant Marines and later the U. S. Army. When he returned home he worked in the woods and farmed. He also worked at Abbott Woolen Mill in Dexter, Eastland Woolen Mill in Corinna, and the Hartland Tannery. His children remember him as a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Laurice is survived by his son Robert of Exeter; a daughter, Kathy Moore of North Hartland, Vermont; 2 sisters, Madelyn French of Rockland, Lillian Hand and husband Ralph of Bangor; 2 grandchildren, Trevor Moore and girlfriend Meredith, Jessica Bernatchy and husband Lucas; 2 great grandchildren, Haleigh Moore and Mason Bernatchy. He was predeceased by his wife, Eleanor Avaline (Tozier) Weeks.
A graveside funeral and committal service will be held at 11 A.M. Thursday, September 10th, at the Crowell Cemetery, Exeter. Masks and social distancing are requested. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal.
