GREENVILLE- Lawrence K. Roderick, 79, the son of Gaudias and Rose (Desroches) Rodrigue, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2014 at Sawtelle Family Hospice House in Reading, MA, surrounded by his loving family. Born May 28, 1935, he spent the first part of his career in the U.S. Air Force living in several different states, followed by civilian work as a government contractor, living in Hudson, NH, while raising four children.

He retired to Moosehead Lake in Greenville, ME in 1996 where he was active with the local community. He moved to Salem, NH last year to be closer to his children.

He is survived by his cherished wife of 59 years, Barbara C. Worster Roderick, his devoted children Kenneth (Tauna Calise), of Jaffrey, NH, Lisa (Marian Weisenfeld) of Arlington, MA, Lori McCarthy and Kevin (Jennifer) of Salem, NH; his beloved grandchildren, Alexander and Adam Roderick, Cara and Sean McCarthy, Eric and Jack Roderick, his brother-in-law Adrian Morin; his step grandchildren Keith (Christa), Petr and Brandy Frykland; a great-granddaughter Natalie; and loving cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was predeceased by his 10 brothers and sisters and their spouses.

The family will receive family and friends on Friday, October 10 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 145 Pritham Ave. Greenville, ME, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 11 at 10 a.m. Interment with military honors will follow at the Greenville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Sawtelle Family Hospice House to provide other families, who could not otherwise afford it, the same compassionate and comprehensive care our family was grateful to receive.
