EAST NEWPORT - Lee Godsoe, Sr., 78, died October 10, 2022 at his residence. He was born February 9, 1944 in Howland, a son of Levingstone and Noretta (Harris) Godsoe, Sr. He graduated from Maine Central Institute and was a true craftsman creating hand sewed shoes for several area shoe manufacturers. Lee was also an excellent wood worker building furniture for many family members and helped with many building projects large and small.

He is survived by 6 children, Herbert and wife Eleanor of Kenduskeag, Cheryl and husband Jeff of South Carolina, Brenda of East Newport, Lee, Jr. and partner Tracy of Dexter, Kimberly and husband Scott of Etna, Travis and wife Kelley of Plymouth; 16 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife of 52 years, Janet; 6 siblings, Levingstone, Jr., Ronald, Irma, Molly, Henry and Nick.

At his request there will be no services, however he will be buried with his wife at a private family ceremony. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal.
