DEXTER - Leerta Denham, 75, died October 31, 2020 at a Bangor hospital. She was born June 23, 1945 in Wallace, West Virginia, a daughter of Hermon and Doris Bragg.

She was known as a tough old lady who loved her children, but loved her grandchildren a little more. Called an "old hippy", she lived several years in Greenwich Village where she babysat for Janis Joplin's children.

Leerta is survived by a son Leonard DeMoranville of Dexter; and a daughter Katheryn Walton, also of Dexter; and 6 grandchildren.
