DEXTER- Leona Cecile Mann, 92, went home to be with our lord and savior on May 20th,2024. She was born November 28th, 1931, in Willamansett, MA. She is the daughter of the late Edward and Cecile (Gauthier) Desroches Leona worked many years for Sample Durick in Chicopee, MA before moving to Dexter, ME where she retired from Dexter Shoe. Leona was loved by all who met her, she had a kind heart and a warm smile. She was gentle, selfless, humble, strong, and hardworking. She was a wonderful loving wife and a loving, caring mother to her seven children. Leona is survived by her children, Douglas Mann and wife Tina, Karen Ellis and husband Alan Jr., Randall Mann Jr., Richard Mann and wife Debra, Steven Mann and fiancée Carol, and Lisa Mann. Her brothers, Richard Desroches and Gilbert Desroches, 14 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren. And many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly, they especially loved her hugs because she gave the "best" hugs. "She was loved by her family more then she knew." She was predeceased by her husband of 66 years, Randall F Mann Sr, her youngest son Eric William Mann, a granddaughter Mary Rowan Ellis and a brother Edward Desroches. A graveside service will be held at Mt. Pleasant cemetery in Dexter on July 19th, 2024, at 1pm. A celebration of life will be held on July 20th, 2024, at the VFW Hall also in Dexter, at 12pm.
