NEWPORT - Lillian Simon, 79, died October 17, 2019 at her Newport residence. She was born October 17, 1940 in Augusta, a daughter of Malcolm and Lois (Skillian) Dore.

She will be deeply missed by her loving husband and best friend Rudy who was by her side throughout her illness. She enjoyed opening her home and cooking for family and friends. She also enjoyed collecting glassware and was an avid reader.

She also leaves behind her 3 daughters, and sons in law, Sue and Mike, Lisa and Jeff, Julie and Stephen; her step children, Mark, Michael and Jayni; her 2 grandsons and their wives, Brian and Heidi and Christopher and Carissa; and her great grandson Samuel.

Burial will be private. The family would like to thank Kindred for their support and care during her illness. Donations may be made to Kindred Hospice, 824 Stillwater Avenue, Bangor, ME 04401. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Newport.
