EXETER - Linda Jean Gould, 70, died August 17, 2018 at home after a period of failing health. She was born June 23, 1948 in Hartland, a daughter of Clyde and Marie (Walker) Davis. She graduated from Maine Central Institute, Class of 1966. She worked at Northeast Shoe, Eastland Woolen Mill and Guilford Industries until her back surgery. She then cared for all of her grandchildren as a second career. She enjoyed hunting from her "tree stand" on the ground and brook trout fishing. She will also be remembered for putting many puzzles together and her crossword puzzles, all done at the same time. She is survived by her "better half" Richard Bartlett of Exeter; son, Sean and wife Chanda Gould of Exeter; her daughter Nikki Gray and fiance Harold Brown of Hermon; brother Larry Davis of Troy; 2 step sons, Aaron, Adam and wife Cathy Bartlett, all of Exeter; 10 grandchildren, Kyle and Kayla Gray, Vanessa and Courtney Gould, Dakota, Gerald, Samantha, Alex, Thomas and Abby Bartlett; 2 great grandchildren, Richard and Emma Bartlett. Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Friday, August 24th, at Crosby & Neal, 117 Main Street, Newport, where friends may call from 6 to 8 P.M. Thursday. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, Newport. In lieu of flowers, donations to assist the family with final expenses may be sent to Crosby & Neal, 117 Main Street, Newport, ME 04953.
