NEWPORT--Linda Lee McClure McIninch, 78, passed peacefully and went to be with the Lord, January 2, 2022 surrounded by her family. She was born in Old Town in 1943 the daughter of Kathleen Moody Higgins and Lawrence McClure. Linda graduated from Old Town High School and was employed by the Old Town Pie Plate. She worked for Day's Jewelry Store then RSL Distributors. She loved taking care of children and had done so for many over the years as well as being a Nanny for several families. She was predeceased by her husband of over 50 years, Donald F. McIninch, Sr. and her son Jeffrey. She is survived by 2 sons and wives, Danny Costain and Lanci, Donald McIninch, Jr. and Kathy; 3 daughters and husbands, Kathy and Joe McErlain, Stephanie and Roger Spearin, Georgia and Dr. Dennis Ng; 3 sisters, Brenda Allen, Pam Allen, Donna Jenkins; brother Larry McClure; 14 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins. The family would like to thank Amedisys, Beacon Hospice and Lanci Costain for all the wonderful care of our mother. A memorial service will be held at 1 P.M. Monday, January 10, 2022, at Crosby & Neal, 117 Main Street, Newport where there will be a time to share together at noon until the time of service. Pastor Garnett Chute will officiate.
