PLYMOUTH - Lois Jean (Shorey) Norris, 87, died June 14, 2022 at her residence. She was born May 6, 1935 in Burlington, a daughter of Eugene and Irene (Champion) Shorey. She graduated from Lee Academy and married Lewis Norris on October 15, 1960. She was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Plymouth. She was employed as a handsewer for Dexter Shoe Company in Newport and retired from the Edwards Company in Pittsfield. Lois was a past member of the Grange and Extension. She was an avid fisherman with her husband for many years and was very dedicated to her family. She is survived by 5 sons, Mark, Stanley and wife Cindy, Steven and wife Maggie, all of Plymouth, Kevin and wife Lori of Palmyra, Karl and fiancee Tiffany of Chazy, NY; 1 brother, Vinal Shorey and wife Carmie of Lowell; 16 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Lewis, Lois was predeceased by a brother Galen Shorey, 2 sisters Jeanette Bradbury and Lorraine Curtis, and a great granddaughter Loh Melody Norris. Friends may call from 10 to noon Monday, June 20th, at Crosby & Neal, 117 Main Street, Newport. A graveside funeral and committal service will follow at 1 P.M. at the Sawyer Cemetery, Plymouth, with Pastor Bob Emrich officiating. Donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
