St. Albans – Lotte Johndro, 88, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, devotion, and quiet strength that will be cherished by all who knew her.

Lotte was born on November 8, 1937, in Germany to Willey and Emilie Clisch. In 1958, she married the love of her life, Eugene Johndro, after the two met while Eugene was serving as a Military Police officer in Germany. Later that year, they returned to the United States and eventually made their home in St. Albans, Maine, where Lotte lived for the next 64 years.

A devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Lotte found her greatest joy in caring for her family. She took immense pride in her home and loved spending time outdoors. Gardening was one of her greatest passions, especially tending to her flowers, which reflected the beauty and care she brought to all aspects of her life.

Lotte is survived by her sons, Ralph Johndro Sr. and his wife Amy of Georgia, Allen Johndro and his significant other Debbie of St. Albans, and Thomas Johndro of Florida; her brother, Willey Franceman of Germany; her grandchildren, Nicole, Nathan, Carl, and Melinda; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents; her beloved husband, Eugene Johndro; and her grandson, Ralph Johndro Jr.

Lotte will be remembered for her kindness, her dedication to her family, her love of nature, and the warmth she shared with those around her. Her memory will continue to bloom in the hearts of all who loved her.

A Memorial Service will take place on Monday, June 29th, 2026 at 12pm at Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 117 Main Street Newport, ME.
