NEWPORT - Margaret Mary Colgan, 74, died March 15, 2019 at the Pittsfield hospital. She was born May 25, 1944 in Brooklyn, New York, a daughter of Patrick and Gertrude (Quigley) O'Leary.

Margaret worked for many years for Guilford of Maine as an administrative secretary. She also enjoyed gardening and ceramics.

She is survived by a son, Thomas and wife Judy Colgan of Carmel; 3 daughters, Mary and husband Randy Davis of Scarborough, Margie Phelps of Southwest Harbor; Colleen and husband Michael Wintle of Detroit; 12 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; her longtime companion Donald Burpee and her cat Bandit.

She was predeceased by her sister, Patricia O'Leary, brother William O'Leary, and son in law, Scott Phelps.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Cremation arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Newport.
