STETSON - Marguerite A. Biggar, 79, died June 11, 2022 with family by her side. She was born January 31, 1943 in Etna, a daughter of Erwin and Catherine (Savage) Morton. She graduated from Brewer High School, Class of 1961. She also attended hairdressing school and Beal Business College. She worked at Eastland Woolen Mill in Corinna, Dexter Shoe Company in Dexter and Newport, and retired from the Edwards Company in Pittsfield. She enjoyed playing cards and traveling, especially with her sister Linda. The two were inseparable. Marguerite is survived by a son, Bruce and wife Sheila Henderson; 1 daughter, Wanda Torrey; and a step son, John Biggar, all of Stetson; 2 sisters, Linda Burton of Stetson and Ellen Stone of Exeter; 5 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Bill Biggar. Friends may call from 6 to 8 P.M. Wednesday at Crosby & Neal, 117 Main Street, Newport, where funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Thursday with the Rev. David Ray, Sr. officiating. Burial will be at Clark's Hill Cemetery, Stetson.
