Obituary

DEXTER - Marion Helen (Chabot) Clukey, 90, passed away peacefully December 17, 2014 at Cedar Ridge Center in Skowhegan.

She was born July 10, 1924 in Exeter to Aurele and Mary (Laflamme) Chabot, one of nine children. She grew up on the family farm in Dexter and attended school there. She worked for several years at the Abbott Woolen Mill in Dexter where she met her husband Melvin. They were married on August 8, 1953 and had 55 years together before his death in 2009.

She was a communicant of St. Annes Church for many years. Marion enjoyed sewing, crocheting, quilting, crafts, flower gardening and reading.

She is survived by her daughter Jeanne and husband Jack Foster of Sidney; her granddaughter Jessica Foster and spouse Katie Norton of Canton, Mass.; her grandson Stephen Foster and significant other, Chelsea Boyd of Bath; sisters Rita Clukey and Florence Gould, both of Dexter; many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by brothers Louis, Joe, Lionel, Paul and Philip Chabot; her sister Jeanette Clukey; and nephews David Chabot, and Loren Paul Chabot.

The family would like to thank the staff at Cedar Ridge Center for the excellent care given to Marion these past three years, and also to the Beacon Hospice staff for their help during the past year.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 AM Monday, December 22nd, at St. Annes Catholic Church, Free Street, Dexter, with the Rev. Fr. Joseph Cahill officiating.

Spring interment will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter.

Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Dexter.
