STETSON- Marion Dyleski, 76, of Bangor, Maine, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2025, at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center.
Born on April 24, 1949, in Methuen, Massachusetts, Marion was the daughter of Merlin V. Winward and Marion J. (Chadwick) Winward. She was raised in Methuen and graduated from Methuen High School in 1967. Marion went on to attend Fitchburg State College and later worked as both a florist and a restaurant manager, including many years at Friendly's in Haverhill, MA.
On June 14, 1987, Marion married Dennis J. Dyleski in Atkinson, NH. They spent their years together raising their daughter in Haverhill, MA before relocating to Maine in 2002. They accomplished their dream of completing their forever-home in Stetson, ME and enjoyed their time at the lake until his passing.
Marion had a deep love for her community. She was an active member of the Sebasticook Garden Club and volunteered with the Girl Scouts of America. In her youth, she was a member of Rainbow, affiliated with the Freemasons.
She was known for her many hobbies, including gardening, knitting, baking, quilting, and reading. Marion especially enjoyed Hallmark Christmas movies and curling up with a good Nicholas Sparks book.
She is survived by her beloved daughter, Kaitlyn J. Dyleski of Raynham, MA; her niece, Sara Winward of Portland, ME; her sister-in-law, Marilyn Winward of Portland, ME; and her cousins, Billy and Paula Chadwick of Stetson, ME. She also leaves behind her partner, Wayne Lucas of Searsport, ME, and many other cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss her dearly.
Marion was predeceased by her husband, Dennis J. Dyleski; her brother, William Winward; and her parents, Merlin and Marion Winward.
Marion's warmth, kindness, and love of simple joy's touched everyone who knew her. She will be deeply missed.
