Obituary

St. Albans — Mark Wesley Springer, 60, passed away on August 16, 2026. He was born on October 8, 1965, the son of George Springer and Margo (Springer) Carmines.

Mark graduated with honors from Nokomis Regional High School in 1984 and attended the University of Maine, Orono. He graduated in 1989 with a bachelor’s degree in construction management. Mark owned and operated SWS Unlimited in St. Albans. Mark had an aptitude for fixing things; he restored old vehicles, built trailers and tanks, and did sandblasting, welding, fabrication, and auto repairs.

Mark was a member of the Masonic Lodge Corinthian #95 in Hartland, holding the Master Mason position in 2006, 2007, and 2015. He was also an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting, four-wheeling, and snowmobiling. Mark also enjoyed puzzles and always carried a sudoku book with him.

Mark was predeceased by his father, George W. Springer. He is survived by his mother, Margo, and her husband, Thomas Carmines, of Edenton, NC; his sister, Amy Bouchard, and her husband, Luke, of Gray, ME; his nephew, Nick Bouchard, and niece, Ally Bouchard, both of Gray; and his beloved dog, Mercury.

A memorial service will be held at Jonathan Bowman Center for Enrichment on September 19, 2026, at 2:30 p.m. There will also be a visiting hour before the service from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.
