DEXTER - Martin Vandemark, Jr., 86, died June 4, 2021 at a Bangor hospital. He was born August 23, 1934 in Poughkeepsie, NY, a son of Martin and Elsie (Townsend) Vandemark, Sr. Martin served in the U. S. Army during the Berlin crisis following World War II. He was a Master Electrician having worked independently and later for an electrical contractor on high profile jobs around the state. He enjoyed woodworking crafts and reading.

Martin is survived by his wife Edna; 3 daughters, Linda Ritland and Terri Vandemark, all of Dexter, Susan and husband Peter Linscott of Vassalboro; a brother Tony and wife Carolyn Vandemark of CT; 3 grandchildren, Eric and Kristen Linscott and Anna Ritland.

A graveside funeral and committal service will be held at 1 P.M. Tuesday, June 15th, at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Joseph Health Care Foundation, P.O. Box 1638, Bangor, ME 04402. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Dexter.
