ETNA - Marvin Edward Lane, Jr., 84, died peacefully on March 31, 2019 with his beloved wife Elizabeth Lane of 36 years by his side. Marvin was born in Baileyville on September 16, 1934, a son of Marvin Lane, Sr. and Edith (Shain) Day. After attending Woodland High School he ran his own concrete business in Connecticut. He enjoyed trips to San Diego and long afternoon drives. He loved to bowl, watch the Red Sox and spend time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Sharon Poliski and husband Peter of CT; step son Eric Newcomb and wife Bonnie; and step daughter Heather Newcomb, all of Etna; 4 grandchildren, Valerie Marie, Ethan, Audrey and Owen Newcomb; and a great granddaughter Alyssa.

Memorial services will be announced at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army, 65 South Park Street, Bangor, ME 04401. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Newport.
