Mary Arline (Gomm) Roderick Lawler PALMYRA & BANGOR – Mary Arline (Gomm) Roderick Lawler, 98, died November 23, 2023 at a Bangor nursing facility. She was born December 21, 1924 in Old Town, a daughter of Alfred and Zelda (Duplissa) Gomm. Mary worked at the Freese's Department Store for 16 years in the furniture department. Mary and her husband Joe also delivered flowers for Jan's Flowers and Gifts in Newport. She was a communicant of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bangor. She is survived by 1 son, William Roderick of Bangor; 2 brothers, Victor and Clifford Gomm; and a sister, Margaret Linquist; 4 grandchildren, Byron, Bethany, Courtney and Richard; and 9 great grandchildren, Michael, Nicholas, Georgia, Caiden, Camden, Carsyn, Alexandria, Tyler and Carrigan; 4 great great grandchildren, McKenzie, Izaiah, Wyatt, and Akin; and many nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her first husband, Emmanuel Roderick; and her 2nd husband Joseph Lawler; and a son, David Roderick. Funeral services will be held at 1 P.M. Friday, December 1st, at Crosby & Neal, 117 Main Street, Newport, where friends may call from 11 A.M. until the time of services. Burial will be in the Palmyra Village Cemetery.
