DEXTER - Mary Jane Gertrude (Shaw) Tilton, 88, died June 19, 2022. She was born September 14, 1933, in Houlton, a daughter of Wilfred and Pauline (Yerxa) Shaw. She graduated from Houlton High School and Ricker College with an Associate degree. Mary was a communicant of Our Lady of the Snows Parish, St. Anne's Catholic Church in Dexter. She enjoyed tennis, bridge, helping others and spending time with her daughters and grandchildren. She was a stay-at-home mom until the youngest was in school, then worked for the school district, and later, Key Bank for many years, both in Dexter and Bangor. Mary and her husband Mike retired to Delray Beach, FL and moved back to Dexter in 2017. She is survived by 5 daughters, Kathryn Tilton of Delray Beach, FL, Susan and husband Paul Levesque of Six Mile, SC, Margaret Towle and significant other Ron Sanford of Dexter, Lisa and husband Lee Russ of Manchester, NH, Elizabeth and husband Scott Langlois of Concord, NH; 5 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Malcolm "Mike" Tilton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 A.M. Friday, August 12th, at St. Anne's Church, Free Street Dexter with the Rev. Rob Lupo officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal.
