Maxine (Jones) Ervin CORINNA – Maxine Ervin, 97, died December 1, 2023 at a Dover-Foxcroft hospital. She was born October 28, 1926 in St. Albans, a daughter of Fredrick and Gladys (Weeks) Jones. Maxine graduated from Hartland Academy, Class of 1946. She worked as a spinner at Eastland Woolen Mill for 31 years. Maxine was a member and past president of the Bangor Singles Club and the Happy Hour Club. She was a past member of the Big Indian Fish & Game Club. She is survived by 2 sons, Larry of Corinna, Bruce and wife Norma of Pensacola, Florida; 1 daughter, Sandra and husband Larry Gilbert of Corinna; 7 brothers, Maurice and wife Diana Jones of Pennsylvania, Fred and wife Janice Jones of St.Albans, Clarence Jones of Canaan, Ralph and wife Ann Jones of Bancroft, Edwin Jones of Alton, David and wife Jantha Jones of St. Albans, and Richard Jones of Palmyra; 2 sisters, Faye Lawrence of St. Albans, and Shirley Hewins of Fairfield; 6 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Graveside committal services will be held in the spring at the Corinna Village Cemetery, next to her husband Earl, who died in 1983. She was also predeceased by a son, Dennis; 2 brothers, Earle Jones and Herbert Jones; and a sister, Marjorie Weeman. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal.
