DEXTER - Michael Ricker, 73, made his journey into everlasting life on February 12, 2018.

He was the son of Vernon and LuLu (Farley) Ricker. Mike graduated from Corinna Union Academy and the University of Southern Maine Tech Center for the Culinary Arts. Mike enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he became a plank holder and Navy SEAL serving in Vietnam. During his time abroad Mike studied Ishin-Ru kung fu in Japan and taught it locally for many years.

Mike loved family, food and guitars especially when he played with his brother Tommy Ricker and Matthew Pennington. He had been employed at Dexter Shoe Company.

Left behind are his son Chris Ricker, daughter Marjorie Pennington, grandson Joseph Race, and sister Charlotte Hawkins.

He was predeceased by his wife Katherine (Mountain) Ricker, his son Matthew Lee Ricker and brother Tommy Ricker.

Friends may call from 5 to 7 P.M. Monday at Crosby & Neal, 61 Main Street, Dexter. Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Tuesday, February 20th at the First Baptist Church of Dexter. Spring burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter.
