Obituary

PLYMOUTH - Mildred "Mema" Ann Levesque, 86, died October 16, 2018 at a Bangor hospital. She was born January 20, 1932 in Milford, CT, a daughter of Stanley and Anna (Sapitowicz) Parniawski. In the early 70's Mildred and her husband, Del bought land in Plymouth and planted an apple orchard. Mildel Apple Farm sold apples at the Orono and Belfast farmer's markets starting in 1998. She was a devoted communicant of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Pittsfield. Mema was truly an amazing woman. She lived independently despite being almost blind and exercised faithfully all of her life to stay in great shape. She said waking up every day was a gift from God. Mildred loved working in her yard and the apple orchard until the time of her passing. She adored all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren and was very proud of all of them. She is survived by a son Michael; a daughter Darlene Hopkins and fiance George "Jody" Grant ; a brother, Charles and wife Karen Parniawski; 4 grandchildren, Amy and husband Marty Swanson, Brandon and fiancee Kayla Easler, Cody Hopkins, and Peyton Grant; 2 great granddaughters, Cassidy and Britney Swanson; several nieces and nephews including a special nephew Kenneth Levesque. She will also be remembered by a special friend Barbara Clark. Mildred was predeceased by her beloved husband of 64 years, Delmar, in 2016; a brother and sister-in-law, Stanley and Sudie Parniawski; 2 sisters, Virginia and husband Joseph Gervlis and Betty Campbell. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 A.M. Saturday, October 27th, at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 238 Detroit Avenue, Pittsfield with the Rev. Fr. Rob Lupo officiating. Burial will be in the Sawyer Cemetery, Plymouth. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Newport.
