PITTSFIELD - Milton Colby Kirk, Sr., 89, died peacefully with his family by his side Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at Northern Light Sebasticook Valley Hospital. He was born July 22, 1933 in Guilford, a son of James and Rose (Knowlton) Kirk. He graduated from Piscataquis Community High School in Guilford and was a U.S. Army veteran. He was employed at Northeast Shoe, and then Cianbro Corporation for nearly 30 years. Milton enjoyed hunting, fishing, music and time spent with the family at camp on Onawa Lake. He would bring out his guitar for any occasion to play and sing. He also spent much time helping family and friends and anyone who needed a hand. Milton is survived by his wife of 68 years Frances (Cyr); his children, Julie Wisser and husband Frank, Milton, Jr. and wife Joan, Wanda Kirk, and Jim Kirk; 5 grandchildren, Joshua, Jaime, Tyler, Caleb and Heather; 9 great grandchildren, Immanuel, Elijah, Carl, Julia, Joy, Charlotte, Faris, Theodore, Cami Jo; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers Donald, Mahlon, Dalton and Harlan. Graveside committal services will be held in the spring at Hillside Cemetery, Monson. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal.
