EXETER - Nancy (Harris) Crocker, 84, died November 10, 2020 at a Dover-Foxcroft hospital. She was born July 16, 1936 in Dixmont, a daughter of Cecil and Zelma (Homstead) Harris. She graduated from Maine Central Institute in Pittsfield.
Nancy worked at Snowflake Canning Company in Corinna until it was destroyed by fire, but most of all she was a stay at home mom raising children and grandchildren. She was a member of the Poulliot-Seavey Post American Legion Auxiliary and the Shirley B. Carter Post Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, both of Dexter. She was also a member of the Maine Country Music Association.
She is survived by 5 sons, Richard and wife Lori of Florida, Ronald of Exeter, Rodney and wife Colleen of Pittsfield, Rusty of Dexter, Raymond and wife Wannita of Corinna; 2 daughters, Karen and husband Charles Libby of Parkman and Carol Kimball of Plymouth; 17 grandchildren; and many great and great great grandchildren.
Nancy was predeceased by her husband James, son Roger, granddaughters Karen Woodard Taft, Elizabeth Crocker and Mindy Gould.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 P.M. Friday at Crosby & Neal, 117 Main Street, Newport, where funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday, November 14th. Due to CDC guidelines, all attendees are limited to no more than 50 people at any given time. Face covering and social distancing are required. Burial will be in the Crowell Cemetery, Exeter.
