Obituary

Patricia A Buteau Wade, born August 7,1953 in Westwood, Massachusetts died September 7, 2025. Pat died at home with her daughter present after an extended period of kidney disease. Patricia was married to Roscoe Victor Wade, who died on December 26, 2021. They had one daughter, Amy Wade of Yarmouth, Maine. In addition to Amy, Pat leaves behind two brothers both of Florida; Joseph R Buteau and AnnMarie, Micheal Buteau; several nieces and nephews and a dear friend and sister-in-law, Margaret Graham of Cummings, GA. (Vics sister) as well as many friends and caring neighbors. Pat wanted to thank special friends, April Stevens, Kathy McKusick, Steve McKusick and Tammy Tibbetts for all their help and support during her long illness. Pat grew up in Westwood, MA one of a family of three children born to Robert J. Buteau and Gladys L. Bliss Buteau. As a young woman she worked for the city of Norwood Ma. She married Rosco Victor Wade in 1988. Later she and Vic decided to move north in 1992, where they found a quiet piece of land on the Airport Road in Dexter and built their first home. Pat worked at several local businesses, Subway and P n L Grocery for many years. Later in life they built a second home also on the Airport Road designed to make life simpler as they aged. She loved her new home, watching the local wildlife (deer, fox) and feeding the chipmunks in her yard. Pats favorite Ppt and companion was a feisty black cat named Beauty. To those who knew Pat well they admired her for her courage, strength and sense of humor- we fondly remember her as having Spunk! A graveside service will be held at the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery Augusta, ME (163 Mount Vernon Road) on Monday September 15, 2025 at 12:00 where she will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband Vic.
