Dexter, ME – It is with great sadness we announce the unexpected death of our first son, Patrick Childers. Patrick was born on September 23rd, 2003 to Clifton and Holli (Peachey) Childers of Dexter, Maine. Patrick lived in Dexter for most of his life surrounded by family. Patrick will be greatly missed by his younger two siblings, Alice and George. Patrick attended Dexter Schools including Ridge View Community School and Dexter Regional High School, graduating in 2022.

Patrick was a loving son. He worked hard at whatever he set his mind to. Patrick overcame medical and learning challenges to make sure he could succeed. He loved to play basketball and was a star on the Dexter Regional High School Unified Basketball Team. Patrick loved adventures, eating out at fast food restaurants, and shopping for food and toys at local stores. He loved animals, especially dogs and cats. He loved to help his Dad run the family tractor and help mow lawns. Patrick’s favorite movies of all time were Teen Wolf and Fast and Furious. He had a prized collection of Transformers and Power Rangers. Most recently, Patrick was exploring volunteer job opportunities, enjoyed bowling and watching his younger siblings play Unified Basketball.

Patrick will be sadly missed by his father and mother. He is also survived by his sister Alice, and brother George, as well as his paternal grandmother Wynona Kimball, grandfather Clifton Childers Sr. He was loved by Paul Turner and will also be missed by several aunts, uncles and cousins. Patrick was predeceased by his grandmother Nancy Peachey.

A Service of Remembrance will be held Tuesday, April 14th, 2026 at 5pm at Crosby & Neal Funeral Home in Dexter, 61 Main Street Dexter, ME.
