Paul R. "Gunny" Peavey, 84, went to be with his Lord, October 30, 2019 at the Maine Veterans Home in Bangor. He was born December 26, 1934 in Corinna a son of John and Madeliene (Garrison) Peavey.

Paul was a Gunnery Sergeant in the U. S. Marines in Vietnam and made the Marine Corps his career. He loved to fish, hunt, garden, farm and cook, and was good at all of it. But most of all he had a heart of gold.

He is survived by his wife Charlene (Scott) Peavey; 2 children, Thomas Peavey and Pauline Millard; 3 step children who loved him as their own, Marilyn Farmer, Scott Martin and Douglas Martin; 2 sisters, Shirley Lowry and Muriel "Mimi" Cavanaugh; 15 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild.

A memorial service will be held in early December at the Church of The Open Bible, Charleston. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Dexter.
