Peter A. Gould Sr., 81 of Corinna passed away suddenly at home on October 16, 2025.
He was the 6th child born at home in Exeter on August 20, 1944 to Charles & Margaret (Bubar) Gould into a family that would eventually consist of 11 kids.
He went to school in Exeter and completed the 8th grade.
He lived with his Uncle John and Doris Bubar and family for a period of time.
He took a trip across country with his brother Bobby and brother-in-law Rondy Lupo to Washington state and when he returned, he vowed he would never leave this state again of which he never did. He barely got beyond 30 miles from home after that.
He went to work in the Eastland Woolen Mill and ended as the Burling Room Boss when the mill closed in October 1995. He never obtained a driver license so you would see him walking back and forth to work everyday rain or shine.
In his younger days he was very active hunting, ice fishing, fishing, snowmobiling, 4 wheeling and a lot of drinking with family and friends. Later in life you could find him sitting in front of his TV and eating awful smelling food that he cooked and always telling us the weather and temperature (very often). He was always around family.
His survivors are his daughter Paula and her husband Leo Watson of Corinna and their 6 kids, Kimberly (Robert) Shirley of Cambridge, Laurie (Keith Downs of Winterport, Deanna Long and companion Adam Willis of Palmyra, Desiree (Cody) Vaughan of Pittsfield, Kendra Moulton and companion Bryce Fowler of Corinna, Stephen Watson of Corinna, his son Peter Gould Jr. and companion Cindy Levasseur of Pittsfield and his sons Devin Gould of Skowhegan and Cody (Katherine) Gould of Hartland, his sister Pricilla Lupo of Woodbridge VA. and a Brother Frank (Arlene) Gould of Stetson, and one special daughter-in-law Stacie and her husband Ryan Rice of St. Albans, and a brother-in-law Ara Cookson of Illinois
He leaves behind 26 and ¾ great grandchildren, 1 and 1/3d great, great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents, his brothers John, Bobby, Donald, Brit & Rocky, his sisters Neva, Dot & Joan.
A graveside service will be on November 1 (first day of hunting season which he loved) at 10 AM at Chamberlain Cemetery in Exeter on the Gould family lot.
A very grateful thank you to Ross Sukeforth of Crosby-Neal Funeral Home for handling everything for us.
