ALTON & HARTLAND - Phyllis Margaret (Hamm) Jones, 73, died August 25, 2022 at an Orono healthcare facility. She was born November 22, 1948 in Hartland, a daughter of Lawrence and Regina (Smart) Hamm. She worked for a number of years as a stitcher at Northeast Shoe in Pittsfield. Phyllis was a member of the Beagle Club in Carmel and was known as an "outdoors girl" enjoying hunting and fishing. She was well loved and well respected.

She is survived by her husband Edwin Jones; her children, twins Lora-Jean Getchell and Lori-Ann and husband Paul Willey, and Katrina Getchell; stepchildren, Thomas Jones and Barbara Jones; a sister, Linda Delaney; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 P.M. Monday, August 29th, at Crosby & Neal, 117 Main Street, Newport. A graveside funeral and committal service will be held at 11 A.M. Tuesday at the Maloon Cemetery, St. Albans with the Rev. Ellen Bridge officiating.
