NEWPORT - Ralph Hall, 85, died September 1, 2019. He was born July 13, 1934 in Dixmont, a son of LeRoy E. and Frances (Reed) Hall. He attended Dixmont schools and graduated from Morse Memorial High School in Brooks. He met his wife Alice there and they were married on June 24, 1954 after graduation. They had 7 children and celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary June 24, 2004. Alice passed away in July 2004 after a long battle with COPD. Ralph married Imogene Fickett in March 2006. Ralph worked many different jobs: the woods, junk yards, millwright, spinner, heavy equipment mechanic, maintenance at the Hartland Tannery (retiring in 1996), then worked with his son LeRoy doing carpentry work until his health failed him in 2015. In addition to his wife, he is survived by 3 sons and their wives, LeRoy and Nancy, Millard and Jane, and John and Jan; 2 daughters, Nina and husband Scott Boyington and Geneva Lee; a sister, Cleora "Lee" Lee; 2 brothers, Read and wife Cheryl, Randolph "Randy" and wife Becky; 18 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and Imogene's 4 children and families in Milbridge. He was predeceased by his first wife Alice; son Carroll Hall; daughter Mildred Haining; 2 brothers, Eric and Bernard, and wife Mary. A celebration of life will be held 2 P. M., Saturday, September 7th at the Etna Community Hall, 17 Shadow Lane. All are welcome with a smile. Ralph would love it. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Newport.
