DETROIT Ralph Edward Hart, 82, passed away peacefully at home with his loved ones in Detroit, ME on January 2, 2026. He was born in Detroit to Mable (Norris) and Harvey Hart. Ralph married Merideth Batchelder of Detroit on September 5, 1964, they were married 52 years before herpassing in 2016. He grew up around mechanics and began his career a s one and didn't stop until he retired, but that's only to some people. Ralph didn't stop if there was something to be fixed or tinkered with, he was there. He drove tow truck and worked for the Friend Family's Dealerships for a large portion of his career. Later he opened Ralph's Auto Repair in 1998. Ralph is survived by his son, Scott and wife Heather Hart of Detroit; brother, Royce and wife Roberta of Detroit; granddaughters Suzy and Kendra Hart; nephews, Royce J r Hart, Mark Hart, Bruce Turner; nieces, Darlene Bunt; sister-in-law Barabra Turner and very special longtime friends, Jerome "Jr." Dodge and family, Ronald Plummer, Alan Dyer, Tim Noonane, the Friend family and many more. He was predeceased by his wife, Merideth; mother, Mable; father, Harvey; and niece, Ellissa. There will be a burial at a later date
