Dexter- Richard Bernard Cameron, 85, passed at home surrounded by his family and with one of his special nurses on Wednesday, August 15, 2024. Richard was born in Farmington, Maine, on April 30, 1939, the son of Peter and Vertie (Harris) Cameron. In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his siblings, Andrew, Peter, Margaret and Sclastic; son, Peter; daughter, Martha and grandson, Mike. Richard is survived by his wife of 64 years, Marlene (Cossar) Cameron; daughters, Mary Fogler and her husband Richie and Cassie Gustin and husband Kirk; son-in-law, Sandy Lawson; several grandchildren and great grandchildren, that he enjoyed spending time with. A special thanks to Beacon Hospice. A Big thank you to Suzanne, Steve and Amanda. A Graveside Rite of Committal will be celebrated on Thursday, August 22, 2024 at 11AM at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter, ME. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Richards name to the Knights of Columbus, Dexter, Maine. Arrangements are in the care of Crosby and Neal Funeral Home. A private family only gathering will be held following the committal.
