Obituary

SAINT ALBANS - Richard Dunham, 76, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, June 15, 2022. Dick was born in Corinna on May 19, 1946, the son of Kenneth and Ruth (Turner) Dunham. He graduated from Corinna Union Academy, Class of 1964 and served in the U. S. Army Reserves for 6 years. Dick and wife Diane owned Dick's Market in St. Albans for many years. Following the sale of the store, he established Dick's Custom Meat Cutting at his home. You can bet that if someone shot a deer or moose that Dick would get the call to process it. Dick spent many hours in his retirement years working in his wood shop and socializing at Indian Lake Market. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. Some of his best memories were of his spring fishing trips to Seboomook. He always came back with a lot of fish and even more fish stories! Dick instilled his love of the outdoors in his children Kevin and Kim. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Diane, son Kevin, daughter Kim and wife Kim, sister Marcia, mother in law Laura, and the apple of his eye and shop assistant grandson Landon, nieces, nephews, family and friends. A graveside service will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday, July 23rd, at the Nutter Cemetery, Packard Road, Corinna, with a reception to follow. All are invited to attend. Dick spent many years as a volunteer fireman, so in lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his memory to the St. Albans Fire Department, 8 Water Street, St. Albans, ME 04971. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal.
