MILO & CORINNA - Richard L. Gallison, 90, died September 27, 2021 at a Brewer health care facility. He was born June 21, 1931 in Corinna a son of Raymond and Lillian (Dow) Gallison, Sr. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He worked as a telephone repairman for New Jersey Bell from 1956 to 1976. Richard owned and operated Gallison's Restaurant in Corinna from 1975 to 1986. Later he was employed at Hartley's in Corinna and Newport and owned an archery shop on Pleasant Street in Corinna. He moved to Utah, working as a warehouse manager until he moved back to Maine in July 2008, later moving to Milo.
He is survived by 2 sons, Richard of Atkinson and Robert of Dexter; 2 daughters, Deborah Shibe and husband Raymond of Milltown, NJ, Leslie Steeg and husband Bill of South Plainfield, NJ; 1 brother, Charles of Corinna; 2 grandchildren, Joseph and Robert Matos; and a great grandson, Robert Matos. He was predeceased by a son Daniel, 2 brothers, Sonny and Raymond, Jr., and a sister, Norine Krause.
At his request, no services are scheduled. Cremation arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Newport.
