RICHARD LEE WEYMOUTH ST. ALBANS-Richard Lee Weymouth, 76, passed away peacefully August 24, 2023 following a short but courageous battle with cancer. He was born September 12, 1946 in Hartland, a son of Harold and Grace (Griffith) Weymouth. Richard grew up in St. Albans and graduated from Dexter Regional High School. After high school, he joined the Marine Corps and fought in Vietnam. Richard was very proud to be a Marine. He loved gatherings, fish fries, barbecues, Sunday dinners, spending time with family and friends and taking them on his pontoon boat. He loved to tell stories about his much-loved spoiled cat, Mr. T. He went on several cruises with his companion Sandra and her family, loved going on 4-wheeler rides and trips with his brothers and Sandra, and enjoyed swimming at Remington Fairview pools with Sandra. Taking his great grandsons out to breakfast at McDonald's for pancakes on the weekends was also special to him. When he was young, he enjoyed fishing trips, camping, hunting, and raising "hell". Richard retired from Cooper Weymouth after 35 years. He was a member of the Masons for 50 years and the American Legion. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. His warm spirit will be remembered fondly by those who loved and knew him. He is survived by his daughter, Jodianne L. Weymouth of St. Albans; 2 brothers Hiram and wife Joyce Weymouth and David and Cathy Weymouth, all of St. Albans. Papa is also survived by a granddaughter, Jasmine M. Fowlie; 2 great grandsons, Evan J. Strout and Greyson C. Morrow all of St. Albans; his longtime companion, Sandra McNichol of St. Albans; several nieces, nephews, and his long-time friend Bobby Hodgkins. Graveside services will be held at 11 A.M., Friday, September 8, at the Crocker Cemetery, St. Albans. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Newport.
