DETROIT - Robert Desjardins, Sr., 73, died unexpectedly May 13, 2020 at a Bangor hospital. He was born February 8, 1947 in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, a son of David and Yvonne (LeClaire) Desjardins. He was employed at Forte Cashmere, for Stanley Smith as a painter, and retired from Vic Firth in Newport.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Shirley (Smith) Desjardins of Detroit; a daughter, Barbara and husband Paul Ringle of Henderson, NV; a son, Robert Desjardins and girlfriend Nikki Kennedy; many siblings; a grandson, Christopher Desjardins and girlfriend Aubrey Garman; 2 great grandchildren, Max and Marley Desjardins.

Private visitation will be held at Crosby & Neal, Newport.
