NEWPORT & EXETER - Robert Gould, Sr., 81, died July 1, 2021 after a short illness. He was born January 26, 1940 in Exeter, a son of Charles and Margaret (Bubar) Gould. Robert was an avid hunter. In his younger days he loved driving and being at the Unity Raceway where he won many trophies. He is survived by 3 daughters, Tammy Goulette, Ellimay Ham and Kim Malcolm; 2 brothers, Peter Gould of Corinna and Rev. Frank Gould of Stetson; 3 sisters, Neva Cobb of Dexter, Dot Gould of Athens, and Priscilla Lupo of Virginia; 2 sisters in law, Barbara Gould of Exeter and Arlene Gould of Stetson; 8 grandchildren, Paul, Jeremy, Leslie, Katie, Sara, Natasha, Robby and Bruce; 6 great grandchildren; his best friend and cousin David Bubar; and many friends at the Newport Inn. He was predeceased by his wife Alta Gould; son Robert Gould, Jr.; and brothers, Johnny, Donald, Brit and Rocky; and a sister Joanne. Graveside committal services will be held at 1 P.M. Saturday, July 24th at the Chamberlain Cemetery, Chamberlain Meeting House Road, Exeter, with the Rev. Frank Gould officiating. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Newport.
