BREWER - Robert Scott Keyser, 71, passed away late September. Scott was born March 19, 1950 in Manchester, NH, a son of Robert and Pauline (Phaneuf) Keyser.
Scott graduated from Orono High School in 1969. He attended EMVTI where he honed his carpentry craft and followed in his father's footsteps. He became a skilled carpenter and loved his work for over 50 years. He volunteered with Habitat For Humanity and he took great pride in his craftsmanship.
Scott spent many years as part of the family at First Baptist Church of Bangor. He was a Deacon, part of the church's softball team and helped out whenever asked.
Scott is survived by his two children, Jarrett Keyser and Nichole Poirier; his two grandchildren, Maddie Poirier and Toby Poirier; his three siblings, JoAnn, Carol and husband, George, and Toby and wife Janice; and many nieces and nephews.
During his free time, Scott loved fresh water fishing, especially bass fishing on the Penobscot, hunting and, of course, watching the Patriots.
The family will be holding private services. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Parkinson's Research at www.michaeljfox.org
