Rodney R. Bowden, 87, went to be with the Lord on June 3rd, 2026, in Dover-Foxcroft surrounded by his family. He was born September 2, 1938, in Corinna, a son of Harry and Luetta (Nichols) Bowden.
He graduated from Corinna Union Academy, Class of 1957. Rodney owned and operated the Dexter Western Auto with his partner Bill Gordon, and later worked for NAPA Auto Parts. He also worked for Living Innovations, caring for several handicapped adults.
Rodney was predeceased by his wife Dianne (Chessa), who died in 2006. He was a member of the Dexter First Baptist Church and attended Pleasant Street Christian Church in Corinna and Cornerstone Baptist Church in Exeter. He is survived by a daughter, Cathy Seekins and her husband Spencer of Garland; a son, Andrew and his wife Janet of St. Albans; 5 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
Rodney is also survived by one brother, Edward and his wife Brenda, and a sister-in-law, Mary. He was predeceased by two brothers, Elmer "Pat" and Merrill and his wife Pearl, and a sister, Beulah and her husband Clyde "Brud" Walker, all of Corinna.
A memorial service will be held at Cornerstone Baptist Church on June 20th at 2:00 p.m., with Pastor Stan Griffin officiating. Those who wish may sign an online guest register and leave written tributes at www.CrosbyNeal.com
