Rodney D. Shaw PALMYRA - Rodney D. Shaw, 71, died unexpectedly July 31, 2023. He was born August 27, 1951 in Hartland, a son of Harland and Leona (Morton) Shaw. Rodney graduated from Nokomis Regional High in 1969. He worked at S.A.S, and also at Carmel Well Drilling. Rodney loved riding motorcycles and going camping. His favorite things to watch on TV were Deep Sea Tuna Fishing and football. He was a member of C.M.C.M.A and loved going to jams and singing. He was also a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Newport. Rodney enjoyed his breakfast every morning at McDonald's with his wife and friends. He is survived by his wife Juanita Shaw; his son Rodney D. Shaw Jr; 2 stepdaughters, Tammy Goulette and Ellimay Ham; 2 brothers, Francis "Pinky" and wife Hilda, and Steven and wife Brenda Shaw; 2 sisters, Marilyn Willey, and Anita Pike and her spouse Bonnie; 1 sister-in-law Donna Shaw. Also, many specially loved grandchildren and great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and cats, Patches Sunshine and Gidget Pumpkin. Rodney was predeceased by one brother, Leland Shaw, and his parents. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, August 12th at 11 a.m. at The Calvary Baptist Church, 39 Grove Street, Newport. A time of fellowship and food will follow services. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal.
