DEXTER - Ruth Arlene (Sands) Dow, 91, reluctantly passed October 8, 2018 from this world to the next during her favorite time: fall foliage season. She was born October 3, 1927 in Dexter, a daughter of Carl and Julia (Clukey) Sands. After attending Becker College, she worked at L. Hardy Company in Worcester, MA for over 30 years. Ruth retired in in 1984 and moved back to Dexter. She was a communicant of St. Anne's Catholic Church in Dexter. She is survived by 2 step children, Jeff Dow of California, and Cheryl Morin of Indiana; a brother, Galen and wife Mary Sands of Dexter; 2 sisters in law, Jackie Sands and Lillian Sands; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Wayne Dow; 3 brothers, Everett, Merle, Ronnie; and 2 sisters, Althea Goulette and Isabelle Sampson. Friends may call from 6 to 8 P.M. Thursday at Crosby & Neal, 61 Main Street, Dexter. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 A.M. Friday, October 12th, at St. Anne's, Free Street, Dexter, with the Rev. Fr. John Mazzei officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter. Memorial donations may be made to Our Lady's Kitchen, P. O.
