Obituary

Corinna – Sally Ann Ettinger, 73, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She will be remembered for her compassionate heart, unwavering devotion to those she loved, and her willingness to help anyone in need.

Sally was born on March 4, 1953, in Corinna, Maine, to the late David and Sylvia Clukey. She was raised in Corinna and graduated from Nokomis Regional High School with the Class of 1972. She remained proud of her hometown throughout her life and built lasting friendships with those who knew her.

A woman of many simple joys, Sally found happiness in reading a good book, tending to her garden, and surrounding herself with beautiful flowers. She was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots, enjoyed watching classic Western movies, and loved listening to country music. More than anything else, Sally treasured time spent with her family. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose greatest joy came from her grandchildren. Fiercely protective of them and endlessly compassionate toward others, she had a generous spirit that touched countless lives.

Sally is survived by her children, Sally; David and his spouse, Lynette; and Pauline; her brother, Steven Clukey and his wife, Denise; her sister, Mary Ann Clukey; her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as many beloved niece Jasmine Richardson, nephew Dennis Clukey, extended family members, and friends who will miss her dearly.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Pearle Ettinger Sr.; her son, Earl Paul Withee Jr.; and her former husband, Earl Paul Withee Sr.

Sally's kindness, strength, and unconditional love will remain in the hearts of all who knew her. Her legacy lives on through the family she cherished so deeply and the many lives she touched with her compassion.
