Sandra J. Harris DIXMONT & ETNA – Sandra Jean (Graves) Harris, 76, died peacefully at home on October 4, 2023. She was born in Bangor, one of twelve children of the late Herbert and Delana (Jenne) Graves, Sr. She graduated from Newport High School and was employed in the cafeteria at Eastern Maine Medical Center. She is survived by her husband of 18 years, Bruce Harris of Dixmont; a daughter, Valerie Hopkins of Dixmont; a daughter in law, Suzanne Michaud of Brewer; her sisters, Ruth and husband Jerald Appleby of Florida, Marilyn Smith of Dixmont, Elizabeth Lane of Etna, Wanda Smith of Hampden, Marsha and husband Scott McConnell of Etna; brothers, Ronald Graves of Detroit, Allen Graves and wife Respah of Etna and Michael Graves of Newport; 4 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; 3 special stepsons, Shane and wife Nirla, Matthew and wife Sonja and Joshua and wife Jenelle; and 4 bonus grandchildren. Sandra was predeceased by her son Vincent; her brothers Herbert, Jr. and Calvin; and sister Wilma. Graveside committal services will be held at 1 P.M. Monday, October 16th, at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Etna, with Pastor David Michaud officiating.
