SCOTT ANDREW HAM
LEVANT – Scott Andrew Ham, 55, passed away peacefully at home on February 19, 2024 with his family by his side. Scott was born June 21, 1968 in Dover-Foxcroft to Richard and Pauline (Beaupre) Ham. He graduated from Dexter Regional High School in 1986 and went on to start his career as a truck driver, working for a few different companies before finding his final job for Walmart Transportation, LLC in May of 2003, where he met lifelong friends.
Scott married his loving wife Sue (Porter) on May 13, 1995 and had a beautiful loving daughter Courtney Marie. When Scott wasn't on the road working, you could find him puttering and taking care of his yard on his beloved John Deere tractors or sitting out back with family and friends having a cold one.
He is survived by his wife Sue and daughter Courtney of Levant; his mother Pauline Ham of Dexter; father-in-law John Porter of Newport; brothers Richard Ham, Jr. (Ellimay) of Dexter; David Ham (Lynn) of St. Albans; sister Ginny Mullaney (Mike) of Charleston; brothers-in-law, John Porter (Karen) of Murphy, NC and Jeffrey Porter of Newport; sisters-in-law, Lori York (Scott) of Millinocket, Beth Leighton (Gary) of Exeter; and numerous nieces, nephews and good friends.
Scott was predeceased by his father Richard Ham, Sr. and mother-in-law Judy Porter.
The family would like to send special thanks to Dr. Dan O'Brien and his wife Dr. Niamh Holohan and Dr. John Vanadia and St. Joseph Hospice Care for all their love and guidance during Scott's illness. A celebration of life for Scott will be held from 2 to 4 P.M. Saturday, March 2nd, at Crosby & Neal, 117 Main Street, Newport.
