SANGERVILLE- Sharon (Bennett) Dubay, 71, died September 10,2012, at her home in Sangerville. She was born May 13, 1941, in Lake View Plantation, the daughter of Donald and Pauline (Hamlin) Bennett.
Sharon graduated from Dexter High School, class of 1959. She worked for Fay & Scott in Dexter for several years, and later worked for the Guilford- Sangerville Water District for over 30 years.
She was a member and Past Chairman of the SAD #4 School Board for many years, and was also a member of the Sangerville Planning Board.
Sharon was an excellent seamstress, cook and hostess, and enjoyed caring for her family. She also enjoyed gardening and growing her black-eyed susans and flox flowers.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Carroll J. Dubay of Sangerville; 2 sons, Gregory Dubay and his wife, Karen of Nashua, NH, and Eric Dubay and his wife, Stephanie of Lincoln; a brother, James Bennett of Wakefield, MA; a sister, Bonnie Fitzpatrick of Bangor; a grandson, Matthew Dubay, whom she adored; and nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a brother, Dan Bennett.
Private graveside services will be held at the Jackman Corner Cemetery in Sangerville.
